Rolling stock depot and stabling strategy review

Our client, a UK TOC, was experiencing significant capacity and depot flow issues at their maintenance depots, caused by recent increases in fleet size and incoming new rolling stock. IPEX supported a review of their depot and stabling strategy to provide a deeper understanding of the actual (static and dynamic) depot capacities and offered a range of short, medium and long term solutions to alleviate the process and capacity issues. This included improvements to depot processes as well as future infrastructure modifications.
This assignment could be completed rapidly (within weeks) and was an essential step prior to undertaking more detailed depot flow modelling, which IPEX can provide.
