Light rail PPP and PFI schemes
We act as technical and commercial advisors to governments, transport authorities and concessioning and franchising authorities on urban rail transit PPP and PFI schemes and procurements.
Design, build, financing, transfer, and maintenance (DBFTM)
We provide technical and commercial advice and support services to railway operators and design and build contractors delivering projects under PPP and franchise or concession arrangements. This ranges from providing bid support to consortiums for DBFTM of a complete light rail transit system, right through to quality support and rolling stock hand-back audits. This helps drive strategic development, business improvement, and sustainability to solve the project objectives, and deliver excellence in railway systems.
Bid writing / management
With a well established bid writing and support methodology, we typically take a dual focus of firstly shaping and optimising the bid to meet and exceed the tender requirements, delight bid evaluators and maximise scoring. And secondly, by capturing the solution, reaching deep into the client or consortium and blending with our in-house expertise to present the maximum value within the bid.

Asset management and life cycle costs
IPEX specialises in maintenance and asset management and understands the whole life cost of ownership for light rail assets, including maintenance, energy, leasing, and operating costs. We understand typical life cycle expectations, and can provide strategies for optimisation through use of the latest maintenance practices, such as reliability-centred maintenance, condition-based technologies, and management of rail vehicles and interfaces.
