IPEX provided the benefits side of a business case for the Global Centre of Rail Excellence facility through market analysis of the future UK and European rolling stock industry. This allowed a forecasted look at all new, cascaded and mid-life rolling stock that may have storage and testing requirement. IPEX also provided technical advice on the specification of power, track and signalling requirements that would be needed to make the site more appealing that the test centre in the Czech Republic. This included market engagement with manufacturers, operators, authorities, Network Rail and financiers.
