IPEX was appointed as technical and commercial advisor for a potential investor to provide sale and leaseback opportunity for the Lineas fleet. Our team of commercial engineers analysed the different fleets from a technical perspective, considering the residual value after the initial lease term. We also conducted a market analysis for potential alternative leasing opportunities if the fleet is not required by Lineas in the future and focussed on decarbonisation initiatives for the diesel- only locomotive fleet. Alongside this we produced a fair market valuation of the locomotive and wagon assets.
