IPEX Consulting is delighted to announce that Gavin Beattie has joined its growing team as a principal consultant. Having started his railway journey on the Interfleet Technology graduate scheme, Gavin has continued to develop his career with experience in the operational railway working for several train operating companies including Wessex Trains and National Express East Anglia. For the past six years, he has worked for Bombardier based in London in a variety of roles supporting London Underground TSSA contracts and most recently as part of the Bombardier operational excellence team. He is currently an Associate Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (AMIMechE) and is working towards chartered status. Gavin participated this year in the railway industry HackTrain 4.0 event and was part of the award-winning team that developed a wheelset management system. He is now refreshing his experience with passenger services and train operators after a period specialising in maintenance services, IT systems and rolling stock. He is highly experienced across a range of management, performance and engineering roles in rolling stock operations and maintenance. Over his 15 years in rail, he has excelled in delivering a range of projects including product design, development and modification, and business planning and strategy.
