Freight terminal decarbonisation strategy

IPEX supported the Network Rail strategy in reviewing the decarbonisation opportunities of rail freight terminals to feed into the Traction Decarbonisation Network Strategy (TDNS). This looked at electrifying terminals and the constraints on loading and unloading this would cause; last mile battery operation; and the flow of shunters, wagons and mainline locomotives to understand the extent of the changes required.
