Technical advice for parcels rolling stock

A UK light freight operator sought to place modified vehicles into service to transport parcels and required a technical expert to provide an independent assessment of the impact of the modifications to the vehicles. IPEX reviewed the operator's processes and documentation to understand the impact of the modifications and assess if they had caused a fundamental technical change to the vehicles which would need to be remedied before placing into service. IPEX's assessment helped the operator to understand the situation and form a plan which would enable them to proceed with the service.
